第４章～１２～夏祭りの約束

結局、気の効いた言葉も話もできないまま、僕と舞波ちゃんはまた黙ったまま神社の鳥居をくぐって行った・・・。

取り残されたかのようにビルの間に挟まれて建つ神社の参道を歩く。

神社の参道には赤や黄色に色を変えた木々の葉が舞い落ち、ときおり静かな風が吹くとその中の枯葉がカサカサと音をたてた。

僕たちは参道の石畳の上を歩く。舞い散る落ち葉をときおり踏みながら。

僕より一歩斜め後ろを歩いていた舞波ちゃんが、僕に声をかけた。

「雅人先輩。覚えています？夏祭りの事・・・。」

夏祭り？

ああ・・・神社で皆んなと一緒に盆踊りを踊ったっけ・・・。

僕は舞い落ちる、もみじの葉を見ながらこたえた。

「ああ・・・楽しかったね・・・。」

そこまで言って思い出した・・・。

結局僕は踊れなかったんだ・・・。

僕は顔だけ舞波ちゃんに振り向いた。

舞波ちゃんは微笑んで言った。

「ええ・・・。楽しかったです。」

あのとき約束をしていたんだ、こんな神社の参道で。

でも遅れちゃって一緒には踊れなかったんだっけ。

僕は立ち止り、舞波ちゃんに体を向けて頭を掻きながら謝った。

「あの、あのときはごめん！約束守れなくて！」

でも舞波ちゃんは笑って言った。

「何言ってるんですか？気にしてませんよー！うふふ。二度も謝らなくてもいいですよー！」

そっか。そういえばあのとき謝ったっけ・・・。

舞波ちゃんは真っ赤に色ついたもみじの葉を見上げながら言った。

「楽しかったな・・・。」

「また来年、皆んなで行こうよ！」

僕は明るく声をかけたのだが、舞波ちゃんは黙ったまま、もみじから僕に視線を合わせた。

なにか心配そうな顔？に見えた。

僕は笑って言葉を続けた。

「あ、来年は僕も、モモコも佐紀ちゃんも受験生だけど、お祭りに行くくらいの時間はあるって！」

舞波ちゃんは静かに微笑んだ。

「うん・・・。そうだね・・・。」

そしてなにかを考えるように黙ったまま自分の唇に指先をあてた。

そしてふいに笑って言った。

「あ、あの・・・。ショートケーキ食べに行かない？」

え！？

ショートケーキ！？

雅人：この物語の主人公。性格は内気で、妄想癖がある。
　　　　中学に入ってマンガばかり描いていたので近眼になりメガネをかけている。
　　　　学校が終わるとすぐ帰ってしまう、いわゆる帰宅部。
　　　　特にこれといった特徴もない普通？の男子中学生。
　　　　小学校から同じクラスだったモモコに片想いをしている・・・。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　本人は子供っぽく見られることを気にしているのだが・・・。
　　　　　　　　　　　　　　同じ学年でも、大人っぽく見られる「雅」に憧れている。

                                          中学１年生。その風貌から、大人っぽく見られやすい。

　まこと：小学生の頃からの雅人の親友。お調子もので雅人とは正反対の性格。
　　　　　小学生の頃から始めたドラムの才能がある。

しかし、三つに記事を分けたはいいものの、次の記事に移ると画面が切り替わって曲が止まってしまう・・・。
なので、曲を止めずに次の記事を読んでいただきたい。

Aw, this was a really nice post. In idea I would like to put in writing like this additionally – taking time and actual effort to make a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something done.

There are some interesting points in time in this article but I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as well

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.

I’m impressed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The problem is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very happy that I found this during my search for something concerning this.
